Cross sell on more information page.

Would it be possible to get an example of the loop used to add cross sell products on the more information page? I have looked through the Modern template. It looks like the actual more information page content is split into two includes. The one include I can access doesn't have the loop code so I assume it must be in the other one.

I just need the syntax for the loop so I can check it out.

There is no reason you can't copy the include used for the More Info Pages in the Modern theme, the include filename is Modern-MoreInfoPage.sst. The cross sell loop is towards the bottom of this include file.

I am trying to do the same thing, but I'm adding the cross sell loop to a template that was originally the gradient theme. I inserted it but it keeps saying that I have an invalid template tag. What other steps do I need to go through to have it work?

Do you have ShopSite version 9 ? If not then it won't work because the tags were added to that version.

I do have Shopsite 9. I added the loop, but I need to figure out what else I need to add cause I'm using the gradient template.

Do you have the feature enabled under Merchandising > Cross Sell ?

Do your have cross-sell products assigned to your product?

Is the product using the correct product template so the moreinfo page is using your code? ( Note:A page template can override the product template assigned to the products using the [-- product <templatename> --] tag)

Do you have the Publish/Regenerate option "Use subproduct's template for More Info Pages " checked? If so does that template have the cross-sell code?

It is using the correct template in which I inserted the Cross-Sell LOOP

My Define More Info area is in the Product Template and I am using the Gradient Template.

Everytime I insert the code into the product template it says I have invalid tags.

I know Cross-Sell is only natively in the new Templates, so I just want to know how to add it into the gradient templates. Added the loop, but I must need to do something to a gradient include file.

Besides just the cross sell loop in the [-- DEFINE MORE_INFO_PAGE --] section of your product template, you must also have a [-- DEFINE PRODUCT_CROSS_SELL --] section in your product template to describe how each individual cross-sell product is laid out.

Again, the Modern theme's product template is the only one that contains an example of cross-sell on the More Info Pages, so make a copy of the ModernProductTemplate.sst product template to see the [-- DEFINE PRODUCT_CROSS_SELL --] section that is in it.
