Digital Download Instructions

When users order digital downloads, they get a clickable link on the thank you screen (if option is checked) and on their acknowledgment email. However, it is not intuitively obvious that they need to click that link.

When one uses the send key function, a very clear message is sent with instructions you can specify when you configure the download.

Is there any way to get these instructions to appear on the thank you screen or acknowledgment email or to trigger a Send Key when the user orders the product?

You can add text to the Thank You screen via the 'Text at the top of the thank you screen' setting in Commerce Setup -> Order System -> Thank You.

thought of that one -- unfortunately, it means that all orders would have that on their thank you screen. but, it would better than the way it is now. just seems odd that the cart would ask you for text and only use it on a manual send.
