need very basic help - new to this

Hello:

I am developing a simple site for a friend using shopsite pro.

I have setup other basic ecommerce websites but am having a hard time getting comfortable with shopsite.

I selected a standard template called "awesome orange" that has a large orange rectangle at the top of each page.

I would like to add a logo inside this orange rectangle towards the left and then have the name of the store prominent in the balance of this area.

Sincere thanks in advance to anyone willing to walk me through this.

I don't know how to add those things into that template. I'm using custom templates that I created. You could make a copy of the awesome orange template, call it whatever you like, then add the logo, etc. Then when you create a page, select your template for it, instead of the awesome orange.

Shopsite has really good help. I would read through that - especially all the sections dealing with custom templates. You can also search through this forum and read the threads concerning custom templates.

Have you tried putting your logo HTML and text in the Header field in Preferences -> Page Header & Footer?
