Global Add Button

Hi all,

Has anyone figured out how to do a global add button for a page? I am using
the quantity feature in my custom templates, but the customer must still
press 'add to cart' for each item. Is there any way to let the customer add
quantities all down the page and then press one global button?

Kat,

Not possible yet, only one item can be added to the cart at a time. I
undertsnad this feature will be in the next version, I believe it will
require a combination of a custom page and product template to
implement, because then all products will all have to be enclosed in one
big FORM.

It would be great if a customer is able to order the same item but with different options and click the Add to Cart button once. So, in my particular case I have a butterfly switchplate, and the customer could then order all at once:

2 Single
3 Double
1 Triple
6 Duplex Receptacle

That would mean the options would not be a pull down menu but a list with the quantity box next to them. This would be a great feature so customers don't have to go back and forth for each different size.

It would also give us the needed variety of Order Option Descriptions so when there is more than one option per item, each option would have its own description. Currently, when you have size, color, and material options for the same item, one general description doesn't work.

Hi Loren,

Thanks for your reply. I have no problem with it needing to use custom
templates. I use them all over my store already - just say the word and I'll
implement it! I've had a few customers grumbling lately...
