PayPal - Authorize Only

I use another cart on a different site that allows me to set up PayPal as either Authorize and Capture or Authorize only. I couldn't find this feature in Shop Site or in my business PayPal account. I do not want to pay another gateway fee and I would like to have PayPal payments be authorized only because of PayPal's strict order shipping policies. Did I miss something in the cart set up?

You would need to use the PayPal Website Payments Pro payment method to be able to Authorize payments and Capture the fund at a later time. This method is supported by ShopSite version 8.x and 9. There is a monthly fee as well as per transaction fees charged by PayPal for this service and you must apply and be accepted by PayPal to use this method. There is a monthly fee for PayPal Pro and with the other cart is set up with Payl Web Site Standard Payments and not Pro. The other cart I use is a free one, no lease or license and it uses Standard PayPal with an authorize only option. Perhaps this is something ShopSite could and should investigate a bit further for their customers.
