Page Width Should include Pixels, Not Percentage (right?)

Postby owiuser » Mon Jan 28, 2008 8:18 am

The title probably says it all, but I'll explain it in more detail here.

When attempting to align the list of products on each page with the header, it would be much better to have the option to fix the page width by pixels, versus percentage. There are a lot of wide screens out there now and we already had to cover many different screen resolutions. Does someone know how to do this and I just missed it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What template are you using for your ShopSite store?

***With the ShopSite templates you would need to specify the percentage that you would like for the page width.

***If you are using a custom template you would be able to specify the pixels for the page that you want.

***Another option would be to copy the ShopSite template that you are using and replace the [-- PAGE.PageWidth --] tag with the actual width that you want. Note that you cannot copy all of the ShopSite built in templates but you can copy some of them.

*** There are also templates such as the Cross-Sell template which have the widths hard coded into the template so they are not determined by a percentage.
