A valid referenced transaction ID is required.

Hello everyone,

I set up shop site set to (manually) process orders and planned to try and process them after I got set up with authorize.net. Well I got 11 orders before setting up Authorize.net. And now when I try to process them by pressing the "bill order" button. I get this message.

Error message as follows:
Response Code: 3
Response Subcode: 2
Reason Code: 33
Reason: (TESTMODE) A valid referenced transaction ID is required.

I do have Authorize.net it in testmode currently. But I am able to get orders totally through in normal mode and everything works fine. Something about these old orders though I can't get any of them to work.

If there was a way to get the CC numbers out of the shopsite I could just process them by hand in my authorize.net virtual terminal. But I don't see any way to get my hands on the CC numbers in Shopsite!

Does anyone know what can be tried?

Thank you for any help.

Ethan,

You can't use the Bill Order function on an order that wasn't originally processed through Authorize.net when the order was placed. Bill Order is only to send Authorize.net instructions to process/capture the funds for an order that was originally authorized through them.

Regarding getting access to the credit card number of the orders that you will need to process manually, see the following ShopSite Knowledgebase article:

Thank you very much for the response, I set it to manual and that allowed me to view the card numbers. So i'm good to go, thanks much!!!
