Credit Card processing issue

Postby roundbox » Wed Oct 10, 2007 11:25 am

We have setup Authorize.net but can not get Shopsite to process the credit card order. We are using a shared SSL and I can process Paypal orders and purchase orders just fine. Only a problem with going Visa, MC, AmEx. I don't receive an error, just a blank thankyou.cgi page and no order detail makes it into Shopsite or to Authorize.net. I have confirmed and reentered my Auth.net login id and transaction key several times and have had no luck.

The store address is http://aromatherapy-products-naturally. ... als-nw.com

Any insight on my problem would be greatly appreciated.

The screen where the error message should be *appears* blank, but viewing the HTML source of the page shows the following code:

Code: Select all
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000">
<center><table><tr><td>
<h1><center><font color=red></font></center></h1>
<hr>
<b></b></b>
<p>

<br>
<!--Please verify that the following were entered correctly:
<br>
<pre>     Zip/Postal Code
     Card Number
     Expiration Date
</pre>
If you repeatedly see this message, complete your order by contacting
the merchant directly.--><hr></td></tr></table></center>
</body>
</html>

So the error message is there, it has just been commented out by you or your host. See if you can remove the <!-- from the text that should be editable in Preferences > Store Text > Messages, and also you should check the Display Error Details checkbox in Commerce Setup -> Payment -> Configure Processor so that you can see the exact error codes returned by your payment gateway below this generic ShopSite error message. If you can see the detailed error codes, then you can ask your Authorize.net contact what they mean.

credit card processing

I've had this problem before, too. I just switched to using credit card processing [ ... a different merchant account company ...] (URL edited out by administrator because it appeared to be strictly advertising ) and haven't had any problems since.
