Making orders available for download

Postby amateura » Wed Jan 02, 2008 9:34 am

I have ShopSite Manager, and need to make orders available for download from my store. At
http://www.shopsite.com/help/8.1/en-US/ ... ities.html
it says that the download option is available for Pro and Manager. Please advise as to how I can set this up, as I do not see the set up option in my back office.

Go to the Orders menu and click on the Download Orders button, this will get you to the menu where you will see the options for a manual download of your orders from ShopSite in tab-delimited text file format.

Thank you--my apologies for not being clear on what I'm looking for. I sell artwork and need to make downloads of prints available for customers to purchase.

Then you have the wrong version of ShopSite. ShopSite Pro has a Digital Downloads feature that is for delivering digital content to shoppers upon completion of their purchase. This feature is not in ShopSite Manager or ShopSite Starter.

The feature to allow download of digital goods is available in Pro level
of ShopSite. Since you have a Manager level store this option is not available. You could do something similar by simply emailing the file to the shopper after the order is complete but it would not be an automatic option.

In a Pro level store the feature is found under Commerce Setup > Digital Downloads.
