Video or movie in More Info?

Postby Swine » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:10 pm

I'd like to add a video or movie clip to the More Info page of each of the DVDs we sell. Easy, right? Just upload the file into the directory, select it as the More Info Page Image and I'm rockin and rollin. But this doesn't seem to work.

Is there a simple way for a simple man of simple means to post a video clip in ShopSite? And the moment you use the words custom template you've already lost me.

I tried this once. After converting the movie file to the flash file, it worked.

Thanks for the reply. Was this recently? Because I tried to use a flash file and it didn't work. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Swine,

You can upload your Flash file via ShopSite's Images -> Upload Image function, however the image selections for Product Graphic and More Information Page Graphic will only work for actual images that work via a <img src= > HTML tag (so files like gif, jpg, png, bmp, png, etc). A flash file requires different HTML code so you would have to enter that HTML directly into the More Information Page Text field. I would suggest using the forum's search feature and search for the word 'flash' and read the comments and links in other threads on the subject.

It worked!!!!

Here is the other forum topic from which I gleaned the info:

The tough part for me was figuring out exactly the path name of my swf file. Once I figured that out, I was up and running.

Thanks!
