Unencoded & in URLs

Hi,

Is there a way to have the Shopsite generated URLs use & instead of &?

I am cleaning up the tab_page_template and DefaultCustomProductTemplate that come with Shopsite 8.3.

I am trying to get rid of the html 4.01 syntax errors. I have found that this is not just an academic exercise, but it avoids problems in both old and future browsers. Starting with clean HTML makes it easier to find subtle formatting problems in future changes to the pages. It is disappointing that I am spending time cleaning up the supplied templates. Given there are only a handful of templates I would have expected them to produce clean, well tested code. It would have made creating my first changes much easier.
