Free Shipping Coupon question

I just had my shop updated to pro version 9. I currently use shipping based on weight as my default shipping. This week I set up a few free shipping coupons to try out.

The problem I have is when I enter the coupon code, the "you have qualified for free shipping" box comes up in the shopping cart, but in the shipping charges box, the actual $ amount that shows up is:

Ground (reduced by $34.23) $10.77

So when someone enters the coupon code, instead of getting completely free shipping, they are charged my lowest shipping charge that I currently offer based on weight which is $10.77

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Do you have multiple products in the cart, some which qualify of free shipping and others that don't? That would give the results that you are seeing.

I think that I've fixed the issue that I was having. My original shipping by weight setting at the lowest level was the listing below:

0 - 12 lbs $10.77 Ground

So I went in and added the following 0.00 setting. It works out for me, since I don't have any product for sell that is less than a couple of pounds.

0 - 1.99 lbs $0.00 Ground
2 - 12 lbs $10.77 Ground

Now when I enter my free shipping coupon, it shows up correct "0.00" Everything seems to work fine now.
