Order of items on search listing

I would like to re-organize the order of fields in the search results listing and maybe add a space between the items so the user can more readily see what the item is they are looking for.

I would like the more info page link first (its the item name), and then the rest of the info as is.

You can define a separate product template that is used on the search results screen. That is probably what you will need to do to get the formatting the way you want it.

How do I know what template to alter?

The templates that are used for search results pages are selected on the Preferences > Search Settings > Search Layout.

There are 3 templates used
Search Template: This defines the overall layout of the page
Link Template Override: This defines how the links to pages looks
Product Template Override: This defines how each product looks.

There are checkboxes by the second 2 options. If the box is checked the template shown in the selection box will be used. If the box is not checked the Link will use what is defined in the Search Template and the Products will use the template that is assigned to the product.

So if you just want to change how the product looks you would need to create/modify the template that is in the 3rd section. If you also want to modify how the link to the pages for each product looks then you would need to modify the second template.
