Turns out that Verio miss lead me and I really have 8.1.3. Since I don't see any image settings for size in the Product Page should I assume that these features aren't available to me? Do I have any other options for controlling the image sizes in my version?

Thanks

Request that Verio upgrade your store to 8.3.1. They should do that for you.

yeah, they can't. Not on the windows platform. They haven't even started to test 8.2 from what it sounds like. Anything in 8.1.3 to help with with two versions of images?

Thanks Jim

You could put the image information into one of the extra product fields and then have the template display that information. This would work on store pages but not on the shopping cart.

By image information do you mean the image size meta data? Yeah, I guess I would have to do that since my photos are of varying layouts. I was hoping to just show them at predefined dimensions like 150x150px on an category page and then at full size on the more info pages.

I may just have to switch to the Unix plan with the host so I can get 8.3 where it's been released already.

Thanks

[-- PRODUCT.Graphic --] for medium images
[-- PRODUCT.MoreInformationGraphic --] for large images

What tag can I use to display "small" image?
I like to use small images as thumbnails on my site.

There is no tag to display a certain size image, the tags like
[-- product.graphic --] and [-- PRODUCT.MoreInformationGraphic --] will display what ever size image is configured for that image.

If you want to display a specific size image other than using that mechanism you would need to build the url to the image directory that contains the size you want. The resized images are located in subdirectories called ss_size1, ss_size2, ss_size3 directly under the directory where the main image is located. So forexample if you have an image in the directory media/myimages then the resized image would be in media/myimages/ss_size1 or media/myimages/ss_size2 etc.

Can I display the thumbnails in the product pages just like there are thumbnails in the search result or shopping cart?

Thanks

If all you want to display on the product page is the thumbnail then set the Edit Product Info > <product> > Product Image Size: to be the size you want to display. Note that this size will be use any place you use for the [-- Product.graphic -] on store pages or moreinfo pages. It won't affect search pages or shopping cart pages since there is a separate image size specified for each of those. If you want to use the full sized product image on some store page you would need to get it a different way than using the [-- product.graphic --] tag.
