zip or postal code pattern

For the sales tax purposes of a site that I'm doing with ShopSite Pro 9, I need to have the Canadian postal codes. Since the postal code format is A1A1A1, instead of using A1A??? for the other alphanumeric characters at the end of the postal code, is there another pattern we could use instead of "?" like a pattern of a regular expression? (I want the first A followed by a number followed by a letter, after that it could be followed by ???).
