More Info Q

Postby Germ502 » Mon Nov 05, 2007 8:16 am

I'm working on a store that gets a lot of traffic. Some of the search results from Google cause people to land on my more info pages instead of the actual store pages. For some unknown reason, no page links show up on the more info pages. I made my own navigation menu with buttons and links in html, Created a page that I named Navigation, Placed the HTML in the text link section of the page, Then assigned the navigation page to ever other page on the site giving me a cheap and easy navigation menu without having to create my own custom template. Any ideas on how I can take that html code I use and sneak it into the more info pages using the templates that come with shopsite?

There is no built in mechanism to include a file in any of the ShopSite provided templates. So you would need to make a copy of the ShopSite product template and add your modifications to that template.

You would need to edit the [-- DEFINE MORE_INFO_PAGE --] section of the product template that is used for the products. In that template you would add the tag [-- include filename --] where you would replace the "filename" value with name of the file containing the html for your navagation.
