User logins

I have Shopsite 8.3, the store is at http://www.crosstecsoftware.com/store for reference. My question involves an apparent difference between Miva Merchant and Shopsite. In Miva I had setup different user logins for my order processing crew to login and get orders, but do nothing else. So far I have not been able to determine how to do this in Shopsite. Is it possible?

There is only one login for the backoffice of a ShopSite store. ShopSite allows you to setup an Asymmetric encryption (Merchant Key) that makes it so only the user with that key can view sensitive shopper information. You can read about it in the help at

It is configured under Orders > Security < Credit Card Storage.

Other than that there is no way to grant access to just a portion of the features of ShopSite to different people. Anyone who has access to the backoffice has access to all screens.

Thanks. I tried the key, but it was a PITA, since it expires every 30 mins, and my order processors are not all that savvy. Seems odd the software won't provide for separate logins with different rights, that's basic security there.
