Using SQLite for ShopSite DB

Postby priscila » Tue Oct 30, 2007 4:35 am

I got some hint from this link http://support.shopsite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2224 which says we can directly use ShopSite DB by using SQLite. Is it true? I tried to do so. But got an error "file is encrypted or is not a database" . I am using PHP 5 and the database file has no extension.

In other forum topic Jim from Shopsite says, "Not Officall Supported," but yes you can access the Shopsite database directly if you're using Shopsite 8.x that is using the SQLite database. For PHP you best to use PHP 5 and you need to have PDO for SQLite compiled into PHP. I've wrote to searches for clients of at YourHost.com that access database directly and works fine.
