Installation Error

We are designing a site for http://www.perfumebasement.net using Shopsite Pro 8.3.1.

But we are having problem to install this Shopsite Pro.
If we use an FTP client on our local computer to obtain the installation files then we can't enter to the server. We are using our given username, password & Hostname: support.shopsite.com

Again, if we download the installation file from URL REMOVED BY ADMIN using these username & password , then it works fine. After that we unzip that file & upload to our server.

But, if want to install it using URL REMOVED BY ADMIN (here, shopsite-install is our install directory) then it shows "Internal Server Error".

So, please give response as soon as possible & ensure us whether we are correct or not.

Did you download the correct ShopSite version for the operating system your server is running? Did you FTP the files to the server in binary mode after unzipping them on your local machine? Some ftp clients assume (incorrectly) that files with a .cgi extension are ascii text scripts which the ShopSite cgis are not so if you don't force the files to be sent in binary mode they may have been transferred in ascii which would cause the server error.

NOTE that I removed the urls that you had included for your download information and where your backoffice will be. This kind of secure information should not be posted on the web or all sorts of hackers will be attempting to access them. Also one of the links you listed showed a lexiconn server, did you contact them for assistance if you are hosted with them?
