CVV2 Implementation

We use ShopSite SC Pro and manually authorized/charge credit cards. We
recently upgraded to 6.0.3.

In that CVV2 is in V6, I am curious about the experiences of Web store that
have implemented the CVV2 feature (I.E. requiring the customer to fill-in
this info).

Are customers confused?

Do customers object?

Affect on sales?

Hi Larry,
We were about to implement it as optional..but have delayed it as most
customers have never heard of it and are likely to run and hide..
I'd say that perhaps 10% of our credit card orders require cvv2 to get an
authorization. Of those 10% I'd say that 70% of customers have no clue what
it is. A very small % prefer not to give it to us when we e-mail and ask for
it. We then call them to convince them to give it to us (some call their
credit card banks to check with them).
I think the banks need to do a better job of educating their customers.
