Template combining

Can we combine templates. I am using the tabbed navigation template, but like the way one of the templates (awsome orange I believe), has the shopping cart contents to the side.

Although it is possible to use templates from different themes together it is not advised. Some themes set VAR parameters that are passed between the different templates and these VARs would not be available in another theme so the display may not be what you expect.

If you like the look of a certain template you can make a copy of that template and then modify it and add any required parameters that might be missing due to using different templates together. Often, however, it is easier to start a new template from scratch rather than try to make all the modifications to an existing template.
