Hi,

I am just wondering if Shopsite accepts PayPal Website Payments Pro to help me process credit card payments? Thanks

ShopSite v8.0 and newer supports PayPal Website Payments Pro (both the direct API access and Express Checkout methods) for US merchants accepting payments in US Dollar currency.

ShopSite v6.2 and newer supports the original PayPal Website Payments Standard method. v8.3.1 includes support for this method for the 16 different currencies PayPal currently supports. Previous versions only supported the original 5 or 6 currencies.

Hi Loren,

PayPal Website Payments Standard means that non-paypal users can pay via credit card without signing up for a paypal account right? Anyway, what about Google Checkout? Thanks

Shoppers using PayPal Website Payments Standard would not have to create a PayPal account in order to purchase (unless you have a setting enabled in your PayPal account that requires the shopper to have a PayPal account to purchase from you). The shopper is sent to the PayPal site to complete the transaction, however, and PayPal does encourage them to make a PayPal account at the same time as they are completing the transaction.

Google Checkout integration is available for US merchants in ShopSite v8.1 and newer.

Hi Loren,

I am just wondering if you have ever heard of Intabill Inc that helps to process credit card payments. Is it compatible with Shopsite v7.1? Thanks

No, never heard of it, and it is not integrated with any version of ShopSite. If they provide a web terminal where you can manually enter payment information, then you could use them with your ShopSite set in 'manual' processing mode to just capture the payment info so that you can manually process it through their web terminal. Make sure you don't ship the orders until you have processed the payment and know that the payment is good.

Hi Loren,

They do provide a web terminal so i can manually enter information in, so that means i must select manual as my credit card processing. If i select manual, buyers are still able to check out and their details would be sent to me?

Their credit card numbers won't be emailed, but you should receive the merchant email with all of the other order data. To view the credit card data captured in 'manual' processing mode you would need to login to your ShopSite backoffice and go to the Orders menu and select the order you want to look at and click View Order.

Hi Loren,

At the moment, i accept Paypal payments too. On the checkout page, it states that it will redirect me to make payment via Paypal. So how would my buyers know that i also accept credit card payments without using Paypal? Thanks

check the checkbox for the credit card types that you will accept in the 'Credit Cards' section of Commerce Setup -> Payment. These options will then appear in a pull-down menu at the bottom of the initial shopping cart screen so that the shoppers can choose these payment methods instead of PayPal.
