Custom API

Postby Joseph Lundgren » Fri Apr 19, 2002 12:42 pm

Howdy,

Has anyone out there ever implimented a custom ordering API before? Did you
use Perl? Is it possible to pass the array directly to a PHP (or ASP) page
for processing?

Basically, what I'm doing is implimenting a custom API to process
creditcards through an alternate processor (IONGATE) I have guidelines for
proper query submission to the endpoint recipient, but I need to isolate
specific pieces of the data array so that I can process it via Perl or PHP
and submit it in the appropriate format.

Thanks in advance.

You can use any language that will process CGI data (name=value pairs). I have
seen/heard of Perl, PHP, and C being used for the ShopSite OrderAPI, never ASP
or TCL or anything like that, but I am sure that those are possible too. Most
people use Perl.
