Customer Registration Email Notification

I would like the ability to be notified by email when a customer registers and have the date included with the customer’s information. I want to send potential customers discount coupons just for registering. It would be nice if there was an auto feature that the merchant could turn on and off that would email the coupon to the customer directly.
