Coupon - use more than one

The coupon module works fine with one coupon and a cart minimum. But if you use a second coupon - the cart minimum value is always calculated on the carts total and not subtotal. There should be a option to select cart total or cart subtotal. Overall the coupon system needs to be improved - still no start time for a coupon!
