Inventory Tracking with Advanced Options

I really like the newest feature added to Products...Ordering Options>Advanced Options.

However, I use the Inventory Tracking to monitor inventory and even do year-end inventory counts when downloaded. BUT when Advanced Options is turned on, and items are ordered from the drop-down list, the Inventory Tracking number does not change automatically as it does when Advanced Options are not used.

Would it be possible to have the Inventory Tracking total number be adjusted for sales, even when Advanced Options are used?

Please explain more completely. If I understand what you are saying you are missing the point of inventory by Advanced Ordering options.

If you have Advanced Order options configured the inventory is tracked by the Order Option quantity field only. The main product's Quantity on Hand, Out of stock, Low stock fields are ignored. That was one of the main reasons that this feature was implemented, so you can keep track of items on an option basis.
