Chinese language support

Hey, I just got onto Shopsite and is not 100% familiar.

Can I confirm that it can publish Chinese characters (I mean using Chinese unicode) but I won't be able to store any Chinese characters inside the product database?

If this is the case, can I request Shopsite updates its database so that it can store double byte East Asian Languages in the future?
