Increase Alternate Text Character Limit

I would like to see the altenate text field in images increased to at least 400 characters, 600 would be ideal.

Most of my products have a color image that contains a variety of colors. The current limit is about 128 characters.

To work around this, I enter the alternate text in the Edit Images, then wait until the Image Tag is populated, copy the code to my my product and store it one of the custom fields, then modify the code to include the rest of the alternate text message.

If the entire code was available, I could easily skip the copy/modify to product process and insert the image from a template.
