Free Shipping with Handling Charge

I need to be able to offer Free Shipping (either above a certain amount or with a coupon) BUT I don't want to drop my packing and handling fee. Can the Handling Charge be broken out and stored and displayed separately?

If the handling charge is per product, there isn't really a way. However, if the packing fee is standard per order, you could set it up using the surcharge field. Free shipping options and free shipping coupons do not apply to surcharges.

Thank you! My packing fee is per order so that should work.

Is there any way to do this without having to show the pull-down list at all ? I added "Per order; o +2.95" to the Shopping Cart screen, Surcharge pull down menu field. Is there somewhere else to add the 2,.95 surcharge where it won't create a pull down list in the cart?

You could hide the surcharge pull down menu with CSS or grab the surcharge input field (view source) and in a custom shopping cart template (copy your existing template whether custom or a built in shopsite template) replace the [-- SC_Surcharge --] tag with the input tag it outputs.

Thanks again. I'm brand new to ShopSite - switching from another cart I've used for 15 years!
Update - I edited flex-build.css and added visibility: hidden to table.surcharge. Seems to do the trick.
