Product XML - change of Product Name

Sending an item with a new name - creates a new product - resulting in two products with the same sku.

If we could delete in Product XML, then we could delete product with old name and add product with new name, but we can't delete products via XML.

Please advise on any workaround.

If you are changing product names when you upload but your SKUs are staying the same, then select SKU as the product field to match on instead of Name. Then it will update the name of the existing products instead of creating new ones. If you are using the automated XML product upload, the parameter for this would be "uniqueName=SKU".
