Ordering Cart Quantities

Postby tartantown » Fri Sep 26, 2008 12:05 pm

There should be a way to include decimal points in the order quantity part of the shopping cart, as we along with many other companies sell fabric and so it makes it quite difficult to order 3.5 yards of something when they cannot enter such an amount.

More on Quantities

I am setting up a site that sells fruit, and I would like to see a drop-down menu that the customer can use to select the quantity (by unit weight instead of by unit quantity) of fruit that they wish to purchase, as opposed to exasperating the customer by making them enter a quantity which is below the minimum amount, and then getting an error message, for example.

Set your product price by unit of weight, i.e. 1.99 / lb

Set the ordering options as
Select how many pounds you want;n
2lbs;*2
5lbs ;*5
10lbs;*10
15lbs;*15
