Product Sales Report

Postby mtgotraders » Mon Mar 05, 2007 10:45 am

Would like to be able to see what products are selling the most during a given time period. The top 1000 products would be nice. Also a lot of customers are asking for a way to sort by price but I do not know of a way to do this with shopsite without involving some dirty php script involvement. Also the reports in general really need a lot of improvements to them such as what products are viewed the most, purchased, who are top customers, etc.

You'll need an add-on program to do all of that. Urchin is what we use.

Has shopsite considered putting one with their software. Every e-commerce solution I had previously used had one and I was surprised shopsite didn't considering it was more expensive.

Urchin was purchased by Google and renamed Google Analytics. It is currently a free web service from Google. In ShopSite Pro v8.2 ShopSite added the appropriate code and tags so that Analytics can track shoppers. See the on-line help for setting up this feature:

Why not have something that is built into the product though?

I would also like a way to view the top customers so I know which ones are spending the most on my site. I'm pretty sure there is no way to see this with the current version.
