Orders Page - ability to set status and display more fields

Ideally I would like to have a status field and be able to change values as the order moves through the process. Possible values might be new, shipped, out of stock, billing issue, etc. That would be much more helpful since it is not always possible to process each order in a row and I don't want to necessarily delete them.

If this type of field can't be added then having the ability to mark something as unread would be an improvment.

For the summary screen currently only name, order number and asteric show up. It would be helpful to display order date and amount in this list.
