3Column.sst page layout , column borders?

Using 3Column.sst .

SS 10 ps2

When I check "Check here to display column borders" on the page layout , I don't see the column boarders.

I tried looking through the code (I'm no programmer, just light html and php tweaks) , but can't find something that strikes me as overriding this switch..

I would like to see both row and column boarders separating each product....
