I have tried ALL of the gift certificate templates in PRO 10.0 and NONE of them will use the background image! Need help. The background image is a main part of my customization for my store.

Is your ShopSite version just 10.0? You can find it in the backoffice by clicking on the ShopSite tab on the top left above the navbar and then looking in the footer between the two ShopSite logos.
Are you talking about the screen where a gift certificate is purchased or the printed/email gift certificate itself.
A link to your website would also be helpful so we can see what is being displayed.

Jim,
The screen I'm having trouble with is the purchase screen. I'm building this websit with shopsite pro 10.0; at least that's what my host site(ipower.com) says it is.
the link to the site is: http://queenofangelsjax.com/store/index.html
thanks for helping.

It looks like the URL for the image is incorrect. I am not sure if this is from settings in the Preferences > Hosting Service field or what, but in the code it is trying to use your background image and has an incorrect URL. Try entering the full URL for the background image under Merchandising > Gift Certificates > Configure.

Also, you may want to make your cart and gift certificate pages use the same theme templates. Your gift certificate page is using the Congruence theme and your cart is using the Curved theme.

If you have FTP access to your store's media directory that can be used and will be faster. If you upload using FTP you need to make sure that the images are set to the same ownership and permissions as those uploaded through the back office. You also need to use the Reset Image Attributes feature so the appropriate settings are made active for the files. Also if you are using ShopSite's resize image feature you will need to select the Create Resized images button so the resized images are created.
