All,
I know in the abandon cart email you can add things like the store name and url link back to the shopping cart. The question I have is there a tag like that so you can personalize it with the customers first name? so you can put a heading like 'Hi Dan' or 'Greetings Dawn' at the beginning of the email. I did not see a tag for this but I know I do not know all the tags.

No, that is not possible, because you're not guaranteed to have the user's name at that point (in fact, most likely you won't).
