How do I create multiple carts with different languages?

I have expanded my product delivery approach to have language- and region-specific landing pages. The issue: it looks like ShopSite only allows one cart template to be used at a time.

Can anyone please tell me how I can have concurrent templates available? My intent is to have the same cart design (and back-end processing of payments, shipping, etc.) but only change the interface language of the cart to the user.

There can be only one shopping cart template in use for a store. You can edit all the text that is displayed on the shopping cart screen and translate it into different languages so you could have the text in English/Spanish/German etc. That works ok for a store with just 2 languages but may be a little much if you have 4 languages.

The best solution would be to have a separate store for each language. You can use the same payment gateway, shipping method etc. in each but it would have to be configured in each store. Same for the product and pages, but if you now have different sections for each language you could easily separate the pages and products for each language and just upload those to the individual stores.

The first thing you will need to do is to define how many languages you will be using and which parts of the store you are going to translate. In the main admin settings of the control panel you should see a drop down menu for the number of languages and a box with the different sections. Use Ctrl + Click for multiple selections.

Thanks, Jim. I may have to go with a dual-language cart for now until I can figure out a multiple store option, which is what most likely happen.

It is unfortunate that this limitation exists, though. It would be cool if ShopSite developed a more elegant solution for what I imagine is a fairly common problem.
