Custom Page Templates and Product Searches

I am attempting my first Custom Page Template. Some of the pages will
contain products and need to be indexed for search. I notice that there is
a page field listed called IndexedForSearch. However, I can not see it
listed on any of the sample ShopSite page templates. Does this field need
to be added to the template or does ShopSite index the pages for search by
default? If this field is necessary to have the products indexed for
search, where do you add it to the template?

Tthe IndexedForSearch does not have to be included in a template. If
that option is checked ShopSite will generate the index for that page as
long as at least one ShopSite generated page has the Product Search
Field: checkbox checked.
