I have finally managed to put the customer registration (possible since V
7.1) and the shopping cart information (possible since V 7.x I think) on all
store pages and just want to share the experience.
Very easy ->
The html javascript code for the customer registration can be found at ->
Commerce setup -> Customer Registration -> Configure
Simply copy and paste the html in page header, footer or any other page
within your shopsite containing domain and then work the html a bit to fit
your layout
The mini shopping cart must be enabled here -> Commerce setup -> Order
system -> Layout Information. Information an sample html code for the
integration of the mini-cart can be found here:

From now on the customer will see his/her name on all store pages when
logged in and a reminder with his/her name that he/she is not logged in,
when the session has expired. And right besides an information if and how
many items are in the basket.
Very personal, very professional. We like it a lot. Will see how the
customers react

20 min to read the help information and have the scripts functioning and
where you want them in your pages and
1-2 hours to adjust and fine tune your layout, the wording and to play
around with the possibilities
