I use Shopsite Version 7 and I have UPS enabled. I also use the Shopsite
shipping methods and the Free Shipping feature. To show the shipping rates,
you need to enter the delivery zip code.
We run into a problem with this because sometimes the Shopsite shipping
methods will appear without the zip code entered. Also in this case the
free shipping method does not appear. My customers don't see the free
shipping method and select a paid method or drop the cart. Then later they
may or may not complain.
In a future release, when UPS is enabled, could a pop up screen appear
before an item is entered into the cart asking for the delivery zip code.
This way all shipping options will appear correctly when a customer views
their cart. Also could we set a default shipping method that is
automatically checked (such as the free shipping method). If the customer
wants express shipping, they can check that box. This will eliminate error
messages and customer confusion.
