I wish they could have been able to make the pagination feature work with
page links as well. One of my clients are set up with product options that
do not fit into the whole purpose of the OptionFiniteText field.
You cannot add various shipping prices, sale prices, or coupon prices to
product options that are perhaps of different weights and size demensions. I
could use sub-products except this eliminates a cross-sell workflow. I have
thought out multiple ways of applying two types of sub-products using custom
templates and cannot figure a way to do this.
The only work around I have found is to assign multiple products to a
product page and then apply those product pages to a sub-category page. The
problem is that I have to manually maintain these sub-category pages to
contain 20 product page links per page which, is not easy with thousands of
products.
I think ShopSite should consider a third database that would contain
category pages that could paginate a maximum number of page/product links as
well as perhaps publish pages within sub-directories for better external
search engine criteria.
I know there are some solutions out there that integrate with ShopSite to
provide some of these features but, I use a Macintosh and I prefer all
content be published remotely. The solutions I have seen so far require a
database be managed both remotely as well as locally while publishing
content locally for upload is not as efficient.
The real bummer is I have been using ShopSite for 6 years now and my clients
have begun to desire a more efficient maintenance workflow. Custom
programming is no cheap route to go and one of the reasons I chose ShopSite
was because it was pre-programmed and offered us a custom design option.
I am satisfied with every aspect of ShopSite otherwise and hope to see more
modules added (good direction to go). If they could either add a third
category database or allow the MoreInfoPage to have a cross-sell workflow
that works separate from the sub-product workflow I think it would
dramatically increase interest in their application.
If anyone has an example of using ShopSite in ways that work around these
issues I would appreciate taking a look at how you have done it.

Pagination is not possible on a Product Moreinfo page. The more info
page should be the finest detail abouts the product not a page that is
referring to other pages. Although you might have some cross sell /
related products displayed on it that shouldn't be the main focus of a
moreinfo page.
If you want to have multiple levels of products you should create a main
page that is used as a category page and on that page have links to
subcategories (perhaps several layers of subcategories) and from there
link to products or a product with subproducts etc. The moreinfo page
would then be the final result of clicking on a product link or image to
get to the most detailed page specifically about a single product.
