Two simple questions about ShopSite Pro

Dear Shopsite Forum,
I'm about to order Shopsite Pro and have a couple of questions to ask
anyone. We have only two products right now but will soon be having a
few more.
(1) We market a basketball shooting video from our website,
http://www.swish22.com/. We have an Affiliate Program through a company
called "MyAffiliateProgram.com."
When a customer places an order, we need for the program to send a
simple data record to our Affiliate Company with certain information in
t (name, date, email address, total product costs, etc.). I was told
that Shopsite Starter and Manager can't do that, so we're looking at
Shopsite Pro. I assume this is a very simple thing to do. Could
someone confirm that Pro is the version we need and just how easy this
would be? Would what it requires be called an "API"?
(2) We would like to interface with our database program, FileMaker Pro
on Macintosh. I assume it's easy to create a DB record, tab- or
comma-delimited, that can then be input to the FileMaker Pro File.
Thanks for any help!
Sincerely,
Tom Nordland
