SC_ADDRESS Customization

Hi,

We're using custom templates for the shopping cart (which are fantastic, by
the way) and I was wondering if there is any way to customize the SC_ADDRESS
table. I didn't see it in the list of shopsite templates.

Any info would be appreciated.

Katrina,

What do you want to customize?

You can arrange the addresses vertically by using the tag
[-- SC_Address Vertical --]
or switch the order of the labels and input fields with
[-- SC_Address Right--]

You can turn the billing address off so it doesn't display at all by
checking the box "Ship only to Billing Address" on Commerce Setup >
Order System > Shipping

You can change which fields are displayed and which are required under
Commerce Setup > Order System > Shipping

You can edit the style applied to the addresses by editing the style
sheet applied in the billing screen in the file sc_shipping.css under
the section
/***********************/
/*** Address Table ***/
/***********************/

You can copy the ShopSite css file to your user area by using the Copy
ShopSite Include button on the Custom Template screen. You can then
modify the file to suit your needs and either change the template to use
your .css file or rename it the same as the ShopSite include and it will
override the default file.

Note that there are separate .css files for each of the shopping cart
screens so you may need to modify several files inorder to get the
address to look the same on the Billing, Confirmation and Thank You
Screens. This allows you the flexibilty to have each screen look
different if you want.
