Multi Product Custom Template Formatting

I'd like to change the formatting of the product display from this
Switlik Rescue Pod-8 in Soft Valise (SW) POD-8S $3,425.00
Switlik Rescue Pod-8 in Fiberglass Container (SW) POD-8H $3,425.00
Switlik Deck Mounting Cradle for Rescue Pod-8 in Fiberglass (SW)
Cradle-POD-8 $295.00
to this (manually formatted to a four column table in Frontpage for this
discussion)

Switlik Rescue Pod-8 in Fiberglass Container (SW) POD-8H $3,425.00

Where would I do the table formatting? In the Product tamplate or the Page
template? Does anyone have an example of code to do this?
