tricky Coupon Question

Postby Chris » Mon Dec 29, 2003 2:02 pm

Ok..here it is...

I need to give a product (actually a choice of 1 of 4 products) for
FREE with the purchase of 1 of 8 other items. How can I do this (In the
latest SS Pro)?

My idea is to have the coupon add to cart automatically with the
purchase of the main item (though I'm not sure exactly how to set up a
multi-item add like that) but then only apply the discount on the price
of the other item when the other item is added to the cart. So, I think
I can do this by making the coupon apply only to the FREE item and have
the coupon itself only apply to the cart when the required item is added
to the cart.

Will this work? Is there anything I'm overlooking? Is there an easier
way? How do I add the coupon to cart automatically with the other item?

Thanks for your help and happy holidays!

Oh, by the way...I'm using "Order Anywhere" on my site. I found the
instructions for Multi-Product Add to cart based on Page and product
templates.
