Shopsite Starter

Maybe somebody can answer a couple of questions.
We have our own site, www.i4ulenses.com and decided to sell online with CC
and merchants accounts.
After we check SS Starter , we decided to use the Shopping Cart, but we have
encountered two problems:
1. Sales Tax
We tried to set the CA tax first and the non CA next. The problem is that if
the customer select the second option and do not RECALCULATE, the tax is
computed for CA.
We had quite a few orders where the sales tax was not paid by the customer
due to the bad design of this area.
I suggest to the developers that when the customer changes the option in the
tax list, an automatic recalculate is issued (like that if the customer hit
the Recalculate icon). A more elegant solution would be to check the
"shipping to address" and pick up the appropriate sales tax rate for that
state.
2.- Order Report
The system does not provide a report that is not machine readable: it is
necessary to have some kind of file that can be sent to us in any format.
Maybe the more expensive SS has this capability, but we are reluctant to
spend more money just to use the shopping cart to get to our merchant
accounts. Is there any way to get some kind of order report from this SS? We
may have to drop the SS and code our shopping cart if these two problems are
not solved.
Thanks,
Pat Herman
