The tax is being figured incorrectly on my site ... despite my repeated
attempts to correct it. Who do I contact to help me with this issue?

Thanks,

Marje

Perhaps someone on this forum can help you, but if it were me, I'd contact
my ShopSite host who hopefully is "ShopSite capable."

How is the tax being figured incorrectly? Are you charging tax on
shipping? If so, in ShopSite version 6.3 and earlier the tax on
shipping is added to the shipping charge itself not the tax total. So
if you have a tax rate of 6% and an item cost of $10.00 and a shipping
cost of $1.00 you would see a tax line with $0.60 a shipping line of
$1.06 and a total of $11.66 which is the correct total for the purchase.

This is the way I have the tax set up

checked "I live outside of Colorado." 0.00
checked "I live in Colorado." 0.043

The tax for Colorado is usually just pennies ... for example they received
an order for $36.00 this morning and the total tax was 2 cents.

Thanks Jim!

I think you've solved our problem .... I made the change ... we'll see what
happens with the next few orders.

Marje,
I looked at this again and I think you are specifying the tax rate
incorrectly. The tax when entered in shopsite needs to be a percent so
4.3% tax would be entered as 4.3 not 0.043.

If I do the calculations on a $36.00 order using the value you give of
0.043 the tax comes to 1.548 cents so it would have been rounded to 2
cents which is correct for the tax rate you entered.

Have you checked to make sure all items in the store are marked as
Taxable? This is done on Edit Product Info screen. The default is
Taxable but someone could have unchecked some products so that tax won't
be computed on them.

If that isn't the problem contact your hosting company and have them
escalate the problem to ShopSite support or you can purchase a single
support incident or annual contract at
http://shopsite.com/support_pricing.html
