Quantity pricing of different products

Hello,

Has anyone set up quantity pricing similar to this email we received? They
recently upgraded to Pro.

I am working with our updated shop site and I have been able to set up
volume discounts on individual items. Is there a way to apply a volume
discount to include a group of items? For example: Our beef jerky sells
for 9.95/pkg if the customer orders 11 or more the price drops to 8.95 each.
So, if a customer orders 11 Original the price is 8.95 and if they order 11
peppered the price is 8.95 but if they order 5 Original and 6 Peppered it
charges them 9.95 ea and I would like it to charge them 8.95.

Setting Quantity pricing for a product is straight forward but I cannot for
the life of me see how to accomplish what she would like to do.

Thanks in advance.

The Quantity Pricing and Ordering Option Pricing features are
per-product and other products in the cart have no effect on them.

The Discount feature located in Merchandising -> Discount is per-order
and based on total order price, so if all of your products are the same
price, this could be used to give a certain discount once the order
price reaches the base price time 11, for example.

A Coupon could also do that (discount based on total order price), and a
Coupon can also be set to apply only if a certain number of products are
in the cart. But with a Coupon it is up to the shopper to add the Coupon
to the cart, while the Discount feature does not require any action on
the part of the shopper. Also using Coupons, if you had multiple price
breaks you would have to have multiple Coupons, and when/if the shopper
crossed into the next price break they would have to add the new Coupon
for that price break. So the per-order Discount feature is probably the
best option.
