Meta Tag in pages on custom template

I am currently generating page using custom template. I notice that my html
formatting were ruined by the META tag created by Shopsite that is added
automatically. Just wondering if there is any way to have the Shopsite
program NOT do this on the custom template page. I don't know why they would
add the META tag in the middle of my HTML.

Is this supposed to be a method for Shopsite to advertise in every custom
template page that I make? Can it be turned OFF?
