disabling cookies

Is there any way to disable the cookies being set by shopsite other than
disabling the coookies feature in the users browser? I don't want the
zip code or address information to be retained. I am using a phone
center to take orders and they can't disable the cookies in their
browser just for my sales.

In most modern browsers, though, there are ways to block cookies from
just certain sites, so they would not necessarily have to turn cookies
off altogether.

Thanks, I will research that option.

We had a client that had a phone center doing the same thing. We created a
CGI script that the call center first went to to clear the ShopSite cookie,
and it then redirected them to the page where they could place the orders.
The CGI script must be on the same domain name as the checkout page to clear
out the cookie.

Just another idea.

That sounds like a workable solution. If the call center can't disable
the cookies for our site I might give you a call.
